Connor's latest snack.
So Connor hit a super awesome milestone this morning (said sarcastically). I was in his room picking out his clothes for the day and all of a sudden I heard a sucking noise. I started thinking, what could he be sucking on, there is nothing laying out in the hall way. Then it struck me that I had not closed the bathroom door after I peed this morning. Of course, Connor had fished a piece of toilet paper out of the urine-filled toilet and was sucking on it. I almost threw up! So gross.

8 month old update
Connor finally started crawling on his knees yesterday instead of doing the worm. Joe and I were so excited. Hopefully he'll stop spitting up as much with this new development! He is pulling up onto everything in sight and is quite the chatterbox. This evening he is just laughing at anything and everything.
The Coakley family is excited to carve our first Halloween pumpkin tonight. We are going to carve a Jack-o-Lantern and then I am going to use the insides to cook. I haven't decided what to do with the innards yet, so any ideas are welcome!
Joe and I look at Connor and cannot believe that almost 9 months have passed. It has just flown by! He's eating at the table with us now each night for dinner and Joe and I have enjoyed family prayer over the meal.

He Loves His Daddy!
Last night Connor was eating with his back to the door. Joe walked in and said hello and Connor stopped eating and his whole face went on alert. When Joe said something else, Connor got a huge grin on his face and just started trying to find his dad, but the position he was in didn't let him turn around all the way so he started twisting his body and laughing trying to see his daddy. SO CUTE!

4 month check up
We had Connor's 4 month well check this morning. He got two shots and drank another immunization. He only cried for a few minutes! The doctor says he is healthy and doing fantastic!
He weighs 12 and a half pounds, which puts him in the 5th percentile. His height was 24.5 inches in the 25th percentile, and his head circumference was also in the 5th percentile.
We have been approved to start on rice cereal until he is 5 months old, in which case he wants us to move on to yellow veggies.

Holding Bottle
Connor is learning to hold his own bottle! Of course, I still have to help him when it falls, but he is growing up so fast right before my eyes!

He Rolled Over!
Last night was our first night to just let Connor cry himself to sleep, with us checking on him often, of course. About an hour into his fit, he got so mad, he swung himself over onto his tummy. Joe and I couldn't figure out if it was a fluke or not, but this morning he did it two or three times in the living room. So, he can officially roll over! Yay!
Connor cried off and on from 12:30-3:30 with either Joe or me laying next to him. He finally went to sleep sprawled out on his belly and it was the cutest thing ever! Hopefully tonight is a little less time. The nurse at the pediatrician's office said it would take about 3-4 nights for him to figure out that we aren't going to pick him up every night so that he'll just sleep. Pray that is the case!
